In Year 11 science, Shireland found that some students were struggling to achieve their target grades. To help their progress, they felt they needed a different approach to lessons.
Staff found that students spent too much time in class doing tasks that they could do in their own time. When they used a flipped approach, with the students looking at these tasks as homework, there was more time in the classroom to address misconceptions.
