If all security requirements have been met your centre will be approved and entries can be made via either EDI or the Asset Languages (online entries and results system)
NB If you only want to offer teacher assessment, you do not need to register as an OCR centre. You can purchase a teacher assessment pack from the OCR Publications Service.
If you plan to conduct Asset Languages speaking tests, you must first request speaking test materials for each language and stage that you require. These are free and don’t commit your centre to making final entries.
To request materials, just complete the following form:
In addition to requesting materials for speaking tests, you must also make final entries for all Speaking, Listening, Reading and Writing tests required for each testing series (November, March, May, June). Entries can be made via either EDI or the Asset Languages online entries and results system. For more information and deadline dates, please see the Admin Guide.
To obtain a login for the online entries and results system, complete and return the terms of use document below.
Materials for speaking, listening, reading and writing tests are despatched on the basis of your materials requests and final entries. Details of when you can expect to receive materials are available in the Admin Guide, along with information about how and when to conduct the tests and sending the scripts and marks to OCR.
The following form can be used internally to record speaking test marks:
The arrangements available for each paper (subject to availability in that language) are described in the Admin Guide.
Applications for braille papers, extra CDs or listening test transcripts must be submitted at least eight weeks prior to the beginning of the relevant testing window. If you require any of these materials for your centre, you should complete an application for modified papers.
Applications for all other access arrangements are not required for candidates who satisfy the eligibility requirements. A notification of access arrangements should be attached to the front of the script, stating the access arrangements that have been allowed. Additional forms are required if a word processor, scribe or transcription has been allowed; these forms are available within the Admin Guide.
Three external assessment consortium models are available:
For forms and details of how to register as a consortium, and for administrative arrangements for consortia, please see the Admin Guide.
Results and certificates are published on the dates given in the Admin Guide. An explanation of how to interpret the results and what appears on the certificate is given in the Admin Guide.
If certificates are lost by the centre, replacements can be issued for a limited period (dates are specified in the Admin Guide). Where certificates are lost by the candidate or personal detail amendments are required, centres/candidates should apply instead for a certifying statement of results. The application form for a certifying statement can be downloaded from the learners and parents area.
