Basedata files - Asset Languages

Important information

The file format for electronic entry and amendment files has been amended to include the Unique Learner Number (for use with the new Diploma qualification) this is version 11. The record length has increased by 10 digits from 184 to 194, including the end of line marker.

If you send entry and amendment files with the wrong record length, your file will fail to load to our system. Therefore, please ensure that you update the record length to 194.

If you have any difficulties with this, please contact your software providers for advice.

Each assessment code (apart from speaking or computer-based test codes) has a number of different options (A-L). This is because you can choose to conduct Asset Languages Listening, Reading and Writing tests at any point within a testing window.

The date and time when an assessment is carried out is called a test opportunity and each letter represents a different test opportunity.

If different groups of candidates are to sit the same assessment at different points during the testing window, each group should be allocated to a different test opportunity. OCR will send a different set of question papers for each test opportunity.

Should you require any further information about making entries, please see the Final Entries Guide, which can be downloaded from the Exams Officers section of the Asset Languages website.
