Centre approval explained

If you want to offer any OCR general qualification, you must first gain approval from OCR. Once OCR approves your application, you can offer any OCR general qualifications (you do not need to seek approval for them individually).

General qualifications include: GCSE, GCE, Principal Learning, Project, Extended Project, Entry Level Certificate and FSMQ.

How to apply for approval

To apply for centre approval for general qualifications, you need to complete the centre approval form. Call or email our Customer Contact CentreUpdated3 May 2012 (PDF, 8 MB) and we will forward an application form to you. Please return the completed form to:

When we receive the completed form, we may contact awarding bodies for references, arrange for a JCQ representative to visit your centre or carry out a credit check, depending on your circumstances.
