Queries about candidates' results can only be submitted using the services described below. For more details about post-results services, please see the Admin guides.

Enquiries about results (EAR)

Under certain circumstances, a centre may wish to query the result issued to one or more candidates. Enquiries about results include requests for clerical checking and reviews of marking or moderation.

Before submitting a request, centres must obtain consent for clerical checks and post-results reviews of marking since, with these services, candidates' marks and subject grades may be lowered.

Requests for an enquiry about results for vocational qualifications should be submitted using the following form.

Appeals

If you still have concerns following the outcome of an enquiry about results you may appeal against it. This must be done in writing, within 14 days of receipt of the outcome. Centres are advised to read the following document before submitting an appeal:

Access to scripts (ATS)

The access to scripts service is available for the Certificates of Professional Competence (CPC) case study units (05689 and 05678) and extended answer units (05610 and 05643). The service is also available for all Key Skills at Levels 3 and 4.

All requests must be submitted within six weeks of the receipt of results. The deadlines for the service are:
