What is the OCR Repository?

The OCR Repository allows centres to upload candidate work which assessors can then access digitally. The Repository can also be used to submit marked controlled assessment samples and unmarked work for external assessment.

How do I start using it?

The OCR Repository is free to use and is accessed via OCR Interchange, our secure website for teachers and exams officers.

  • To get started, make sure your centre is registered to use Interchange, (more information is available on Getting started with Interchange.)
  • If your centre is already registered then simply contact your centre administrator (usually your exams officer) who will manage your centre's user accounts and who will be able to provide you with an Interchange username and password.
  • You'll then be able to log in to the Repository, select your candidate(s) and load their work.

Select your candidates

Before loading work onto the Repository, you need to select the candidates you would like to upload work for:

  1. Log in to the Repository. On the homepage, select the series, qualification and unit or component for the candidates you wish to search for.
  2. Click 'Go'. (Untick the 'Include sample candidates only' if you would like a complete list of candidates entered for your chosen unit or component.) You will see results for candidates that you have entered for your chosen unit or component.
  3. A green tick on the 'Sample?' column means the candidate has been chosen as part of the moderation sample.
  4. You can use the filter box to locate a candidate or click on the black arrows in the table header to change the sort order of the table.
  5. Click on a candidate name or number to view the 'Candidate Details' page.
  6. You can now load your files.

The maximum file size is 600MB although larger files will take longer to upload, depending on your broadband capacity. We will accept a wide variety of file formats including all MS Office, compressed folders, PDF, jpg, and mp3.
