AS and A Level Mathematics A and B
The sample assessment materials for AS and A Level Mathematics A (H230/H240) and AS and A Level Mathematics B (MEI) (H630/H640) have been amended to correct some minor mistakes. The updated versions can be found on the qualification pages (linked below), within the 'Assessment' section. The following changes were made:
Rubrics
- Minor changes made to wording.
Formulae
- For all four qualifications (H230, H240, H630, H640) the nCr form has been added for Binomial Series.
- For the two A Level qualifications (H240 and H640) the value z = 2.575 has been corrected to 2.576 in the table of percentage points of the Normal distribution.
Other amendments to individual question papers:
- H230/01: The mark scheme for question 10(iii) has been updated to reflect changes made to the question during accreditation.
- H230/02: In question 5(ii) the value of p has been corrected to 320 and the interval of accepted values to [300,400].
- H230/02: The assessment objective grid on page 12 of the mark scheme has no row for 10(iv). This has now been inserted.
- H240/02: In the mark scheme for question 10, x has been corrected to x̄ three times.
- H640/02: In the question paper on page 10 the boxes have been corrected to show all of the intended text.
