Update on performance points

The recent decisions regarding performance points taken by DfE in England do not affect qualifications delivered in Wales.

Measurement of performance is an area being looked at within the current Welsh Government qualifications review for 14-19 year olds.

Current performance points for qualifications delivered in Wales will continue to be valid until such a time that any recommendation as an outcome of the current qualifications review is implemented.

We have confirmed the above statement with DfES earlier this week.
