OCR offers Essential Skills Wales at Entry Level and Level 1, 2 and 3. We use a visiting moderator model of assessment for Levels 1, 2 and 3. At Entry Level, our assessment is task-based at the centre and these tasks are then postally moderated.

We have an extensive programme of events to help you deliver Essential Skills Wales. During these events, an expert visiting moderator will share sample portfolios.

OCR also offers the Wider Key Skills. This means that you can get all 6 skills that were formerly known as Key Skills from us. DfES has recently confirmed that Wider Key Skills will continue to be approved until 31 August 2012 and certificated until 31 August 2013.
