Claiming units

For any candidate that achieves a pass by CBA for the Level 2 ITQ 2009 units above the unit has to be claimed from OCR using the online claims system in Interchange. This system allows the centre to claim the candidate's unit and select which entry to use.

For further guidance on creating a claim using the online claims system refer to the making online claims for QCF and Functional Skills qualifications guide (PPT, 6 MB).

For each candidate included in the claim an OCR ITQ (QCF) Submission Cover Sheet has to be completed indicating which unit is to be claimed.

Once the claim has been created the evidence (completed OCR ITQ (QCF) Submission Cover Sheet for each candidate and CBA marking report for each unit) has to be submitted to your allocated OCR examiner-moderator quoting the claim number. This can be done manually by post or electronically.

ITQ certificates will be processed more quickly if centres do not mix CBA claims with units using alternative evidence. It would also speed certificate production if the CBA reports were sent electronically to the OCR examiner-moderator, clearly stating in the email subject heading, CBA together with the centre number, scheme code and claim number of the reports attached.
