Computer-based tests are an alternative option to traditional paper-based assessment, currently available for our GCSEs. Instead of sitting exams on paper, candidates complete electronic tests at a PC. This requires centres to install and manage software on their PC network (for which there are minimum technical requirements).

Computer-based tests are available as an alternative to paper-based testing for the following GCSE qualifications:
For every CBT unit, there is a practice test available within Connect Plus. These practice tests, which each have an accompanying mark scheme, can be marked and used as 'mock' tests.
