To deliver e-Security tests your centre has to be approved, be registered on the i-assess e-testing system and have installed the e-testing software.
To deliver e-Security tests you first need to be an approved centre for New CLAiT Level 1. To do this complete the approval form and return it to OCR Operations in Coventry. There is no fee for centre approval.
To be set up on the i-assess e-testing system please complete the e-tests Sign-up form and you will be setup and sent login details.
As soon as your centre is approved and setup on the i-assess e-testing system you can register candidates, via the etest2 administration website.
The e-Security tests are charged at the unit entry fee. Please see the fees list for the latest prices. Your centre will be invoiced for each e-Security test taken.
The e-Security tests are available on demand allowing you to schedule your test sessions at yours and your candidates' convenience. Candidates who do not pass their test are able to retake a test that will incur the standard fee.
Candidates' results are available immediately after their result file has been uploaded. You can analyse e-test results and give feedback to candidates on their performance within minutes of them completing their e-test, via the etest2 administration website.
Candidates who have passed their e-Security test will have certificates dispatched to their centre within 10 working days of OCR receiving the uploaded result file.
There are two options for delivering the e-Security tests and these are known as networked (SNA) and offline. Each of the delivery options has its own installation software.
The installation software for the networked (SNA) option of the e-Security tests is available in a self extracting zip file.
The installation software for the offline option of the e-Security tests is available in the self-extracting zip file.
Please refer to the e-Security e-test downloading and unzipping guide for guidance on downloading and unzipping these self extracting zip files.
For further information on these two delivery options and for guidance on which option to use please refer to the e-Security e-test installation guide. This document also provides full installation instructions for the two delivery options.
With the e-testing software installed your centre is required to run an approval installation task before gaining access to the e-Security tests. Please refer to the Approval installation tasks guide on how to do this.
To run offline tests from a memory stick mounted to the E:\ drive letter please download both the Examiner and Reloader configuration files and follow the instructions in the Using USB memory sticks for offline e-testing guide.
