OCR is committed to making positive use of new technologies in learning and assessment.
As part of Cambridge Assessment we are able to draw on unrivalled expertise. Cambridge Assessment has the largest research capability of its kind in Europe, and our New Developments division is at the forefront of assessment for learning developments.
Research Matters is a new biannual publication from Cambridge Assessment Research. The aim of this publication is to share assessment research in a range of fields with the wider assessment community and to comment on prominent research articles. It includes short summaries as well as more lengthy articles and papers reporting on current and completed research. Contributions are from Cambridge Assessment research staff working across many areas of assessment and examinations.
We are currently looking into the use of new item types, simulations and automatic assessment of free text response.
