The five awarding bodies under the JCQ umbrella - AQA, CEA, Edexcel, OCR and WJEC - have published common regulations for schools, colleges and other organisations which are examination and assessment centres.

These regulations:

• Establish the mutual responsibilities of awarding bodies and assessment centres
• Set out the policies of the awarding bodies in connection with issues such as communication with centres and data protection
• Are re-issued each academic year
• Refer to the national agreements on the conduct of examinations and special arrangements for individuals with access requirements.
