The worlds of Harry Potter, Channel 4 News and the BBC collided on Friday, at OCR's annual A Level Media Studies Conference.
Guest speakers at the event included Pawl Fulker, who worked on visual effects when filming Harry Potter; Alex Thompson, of Channel 4 News; and the BBC Online's Bill Thompson.
Around 120 media studies teachers attended the conference at London's New Connaught Rooms, which was organised by OCR Training.
The delegates had the opportunity to build their subject knowledge and share expertise through a series of lively workshops. They also had a sneak preview of the new draft A Level Media Studies specification which is being developed for delivery from September 2008.
A blog featuring highlights of the day is available.
OCR will be on stand E40 at the UK Care sector's major event of the year.
