Draft specifications for all of the new A Levels have today been made available through this site, along with sample assessment materials (SAMs), specification summaries and guides to what has changed.
A specification summary is available for every specification and provides a top level overview of the specification to download, print and share with colleagues.
A guide to what has changed is also available for every specification and will be of particular interest to you if teach the current OCR A Level qualification. This document explains for every subject the precise changes we have made to that specification.
The draft specifications have been written following two years of research and consultation, including focus group seminars with heads of departments and teachers.
Developed in line with criteria specified by the QCA (Qualifications and Curriculum Authority), these specifications are subject to QCA accreditation, which is due by the end of September.
