Diploma Gateway Announcements - Getting Ready to Deliver in 2008 Wednesday 4 April 2007

The government has recently named the 145 consortia of schools, colleges and other providers who will be the first to deliver the new Diplomas. These consortia have been assessed by the Gateway process and are considered ready to deliver at least one Diploma line of learning in 2008.

OCR recognises the hard work that has gone into the development of these consortia and congratulates everyone involved.

The Gateway announcements herald the start of a journey into relatively unknown territory and we know that our customers are eagerly awaiting a first sight of the Diploma qualifications for the first five lines of learning, currently under development. We intend to unveil the draft units of Principal Learning in May and can report that the feedback we have received on our early development work is encouraging.
