OCR Nationals in Applied Art, Design and Media update

The Accreditation End Date for the OCR Level 1 Nationals in Applied Art, Design and Media is 31 August 2007. The new Accreditation End Date requested for is 31 August 2011.

OCR Nationals in Design update

We are currently revising the OCR Level 2 and Level 3 Design Nationals to ensure that our Art and Design provision in the OCR Nationals suite keeps abreast of changes and addresses feedback from our centres.

We intend to offer an enhanced provision from September 2007; the following summarises those changes:

  • title change from 'Design' to 'Art and Design'
  • revisions to the mandatory units at both Level 2 and 3
  • an additional 3 unit qualification at Level 2, which will draw from the same pool of units as the current 6 unit Certificate
  • an additional Fine Art unit at Level 2,
    and
  • an additional Fine Art specialist pathway at Level 3 to include a minimum of 5 new fine art units.

Finally, an extension to Accreditation End Date, currently 31 August 2007, is being applied for. The new Accreditation End Date requested for is 31 August 2010.

OCR Nationals in Media update

The OCR Level 2 and Level 3 Nationals in Media are currently being revised to ensure that our Media provision in the OCR Nationals suite keeps abreast of changes and addresses feedback from our centres.

We intend to offer an enhanced provision from September 2007; the following summarises those changes:

  • revisions to the unit 2s and 3s,
    and
  • new units in web authoring and design.
  • an additional 3 unit qualification at Level 2, which will draw from the same pool of units as the current 6 unit Diploma.

Finally, an extension to Accreditation End Date, currently 31 August 2007, is being applied for. The new Accreditation End Date requested for is 31 August 2011.
