After a very positive response to the advance notice we have given you on next year's A Level pricing, we're pleased to be able to do the same with GCSE.
We have taken the view that we want to keep GCSE pricing the same as this year, only adding a small increment for inflation. Although inflation has been variable recently, we are anticipating that it will stay at the current level of around 3%.
Assuming that inflation remains around this level, fees for the next two years will be as follows:
| GCSE Single Award* | Total Cost of GCSE Qualification | Cost per unit |
|---|---|---|
| 2007/08 | £24.00 | £6.00 |
| 2008/09 | £24.80 | £6.20 |
*There are some exceptions where the unit price will be different - please view the fees list page for details.
| GCSE Double Award | Total Cost of GCSE Qualification | Cost per unit |
|---|---|---|
| 2007/08 | £48.00 | £6.00 |
| 2008/09 | £49.60 | £6.20 |
| GCSE Short Course (Linear) | Total Cost of GCSE Qualification |
|---|---|
| 2007/08 | £17.00 |
| 2008/09 | £17.30 |
| GCSE Vocational | Cost per unit |
|---|---|
| 2007/08 | £16.30 |
| 2008/09 | £16.80 |
This is a time of intensive investment in modernisation and new qualifications for OCR but, as a not-for-profit organisation, we are still committed to keeping fees down as much as possible.
We will continue, wherever possible, to give you advance notification of pricing changes as far in advance as possible - we want to help you plan ahead at a time of many changes and uncertainty.
No action is required, this is advance notice to facilitate your financial planning for 2008/09. For current fees please view the fees list page on this website.
