Visit our stand at the Schools History Project Conference, Leeds Trinity & All Saints College from 6-8 July and get further information about our current GCSE Schools History Project; our revised A Level History A specification and the totally new A Level History B specification.

The OCR A Level History A specification has been redeveloped following extensive consultation with Heads of Department, Teachers of History and in response to revised QCA criteria. Through that consultation we learned that many teachers would like to see an A Level History specification that follows on from the SHP approach at GCSE. To meet your needs we have developed a new specification called History B.

History B adopts a very similar approach to that of GCSE SHP through shifting the emphasis of History firmly to the "why" and "how", alongside the more traditional "what" of the historian's work.

Both specifications will be available for first teaching in September 2008.
