Removal of GNVQ Withdrawals websiteMonday 4 February 2008

The dedicated OCR website regarding the withdrawal of GNVQ's is no longer available.

This site has been removed to coincide with the final GNVQ assessments which have now taken place.

The GNVQ qualification pages on this website have also been removed.

OCR's website had been designed for teachers and learners to assist them in making decisions on what qualifications will be available as alternatives to GNVQs.

Centres which previously offered GNVQs can now consider OCR Nationals. Developed in consultation with Sector Skills Councils, the qualifications are aimed at those aged from 14 to adult. The emphasis is on helping learners acquire relevant, work-based skills and knowledge, to prepare them for employment, or to go on to further education. Full details on OCR Nationals can be found on OCR's microsite www.ocrnationals.com.

Alternatively, Applied GCSEs are ideal qualifications for learners who want to gain valuable insights into a range of broad vocational areas. Available at Levels 1 and 2, they are designed to enable learners to progress to further education, training or employment. Full details can now be found in the GCSE section of this website.
