Following an extensive review of OCR's summer examination series, The Standing Joint Committee reports are now available to view online.
OCR receives feedback from the teaching union representatives annually in regard to the three major areas of qualifications; GCSE, AS and A2. Feedback from the 2007 series has now been provided in three comprehensive reports.
As in previous years the issues reported by the SJC are varied, raising both new points of learning for OCR or stating that some issues remain open and therefore still need to be addressed.
Warwick Taylor, Head of Quality, comments: "OCR welcomes the feedback from the Standing Joint Committee in these three reports. Many constructive points are always raised that ultimately help us improve our qualifications and services to centres.
"As well as learning from this feedback it also allows us to provide clarification to points of technical detail, or to inform centre staff about supporting processes that allow them to pursue specific enquiries or unresolved concerns.
"We hope that our responses to these reports provide reassurance that we are listening to our customers and always remain open to feedback."
This year the responses to the qualification issues have been coordinated by OCR's team of Chairs and have relied on the technical input of Subject Officers and other members of the Qualification teams.
Issues relating to items of general administration have been addressed by the appropriate personnel within the Operations division.
