As part of the nationwide 14-19 education reform, OCR is currently in the process of revising its current range of AS/A Level GCE specifications. The newly launched specifications will be taught for the first time from September 2008. These will be referred to as the new specifications.

From September 2008 the current specifications will therefore be in the process of being withdrawn. These specifications will now be referred to as legacy specifications.

Centres should therefore be aware of the assessment opportunities for the period covering the withdrawal of OCR's legacy A Level specifications and the phasing in of the new specifications.
