Responding to the publication of the Government's strategy for 14-19 qualifications, OCR's Chief Executive Greg Watson, said:

"The Government has listened to education professionals and OCR welcomes the commitment that there will be an orderly transition that ensures that good courses and qualifications are not removed without a proper case having been made. It is important that the workings of the Joint Advisory Committee for Qualifications Approval are fully transparent using best practice as seen at the Food Standards Agency; the board meetings of which are public and made available online."
