OCR has expanded its New CLAiT qualification to include a brand new unit on e-security.

The unit has been created in line with demand from centres and candidates to reflect the knowledge and understanding now required by both home users and employers when it comes to computer and internet security.

Forming part of the Level 1 qualification, the unit allows candidates to develop their understanding of e-security uses and solutions.

This unit is assessed using OCR's existing onscreen testing facility, I-assess. The test consists of 18 objective questions ranging from multiple choice to grouped answers through to true/false items.

Centres choosing to offer this unit must be approved to offer the New CLAiT qualification and in addition must complete an online e-test registration form.
