As part of the nationwide 14-19 education reform, OCR is currently in the process of revising its current range of AS/A Level GCE specifications. The legacy 6 unit accounting A Level (3808/7808) was replaced by the 4 unit specifications (H001/H401) taught for the first time from September 2006. The legacy 4 unit accounting A Level (H001/H401) has now been replaced by the new 4 unit A Level (H011/H411). For more information, please view the Accounting 4 Unit (H011/H411) pages for the specification.
The current specifications will now be referred to as legacy specifications. The newly launched specifications will be taught for the first time from September 2008 and will be referred to as the new specifications. For more information, please read the full notice - Withdrawal of OCR's Curriculum 2000 Specifications (PDF, 125 Kb), regarding assessment arrangements during the transition from legacy specifications to new specifications.
We recognise that teachers of accounting will continue to make use of the legacy 6 unit past paper resources when the new 4 unit specification (H011/H411) begins teaching in September. As such, relevant questions from the legacy 6 unit past papers are referenced within the schemes of work for the new 4 unit accounting spec. These schemes of work can be found within the support material booklets. The relevant questions and mark scheme extracts have been compiled in a series of additional support material booklets. For more information, view the support material and additional support material booklets.
