Electronic entries only please Wednesday 17 July 2008

The days of paper entries and amendments are numbered.

From the January 2009 series, centres can use either OCR Interchange or EDI.

Currently only three per cent of entries are submitted on paper (either posted or faxed), but a larger number of entry amendments are still submitted in this way. Centres should therefore ensure that they are geared up to use Interchange or EDI for all entries and any amendments. Any paper entries or amendments submitted to OCR will not be processed.

The changes are part of OCR's commitment to developing its electronic processes which aim to streamline all services for centres and make the entry process as efficient as possible.

To support centres Interchange is currently undergoing a series of developments which has seen its functionality and usage number increase dramatically. In order to use Interchange for the first time centres just need to return the Interchange Agreement (PDF, 84 Kb).
