OCR is developing a new exam results analysis service for teachers with education software firm RM and data experts Forvus. OCR's Active Results is in the final stages of development for a pilot using this summer's exam results.
Forvus, who collect, match, process and publish pupil data, together with their parent company, RM, are working with OCR to develop Active Results. The free service will allow teachers to review the performance of individual candidates or whole schools.
Greg Watson, OCR chief executive, said: "OCR wants to use developing technologies to deliver intelligent support for teachers, and that is what Active Results will be designed to do."
The initial pilot is limited to up to 250 centres studying OCR's 21st Century and Gateway GCSE Science specifications. Schools or colleges interested in participating in the pilot should email OCR's Customer Admin Support Team at cast@ocr.org.uk
