OCR is introducing a new electronic system for moderators to record their moderation decisions in the January 2009 series and for GCE MEI Maths this December.
The system will be used across a range of coursework components, focusing on the new GCE and Principal Learning units.
One of the key features of the system is that moderators will be able to communicate with centres by email – initially to request the moderation sample and then to liaise over any issues, for example, if the moderator spots a clerical error.
This will make the moderation process easier to administer – it will be quicker for moderators to contact exams officers and will enable exams officers to liaise with staff within their centre more efficiently.
