And we would also like to express our immense gratitude to the exams officers and examiners for the invaluable contribution they have provided over the past year.

Highlights of OCR's GCSE exams series for June 2010 include:

• 904,901 candidates entered exams with OCR.
• 3,822,999 entries were made across all subjects, including coursework and exam papers.
• Approximately 2,641,000* scripts were marked by examiners.
