A series of free launch events for teachers and senior managers to find out more about the Cambridge TECs, our new vocational qualifications in IT, Health and Social Care and Business for 16+ students, kicks off today.
Today’s launch event in Birmingham will be followed by events in London, Newcastle, Bristol, Leeds and Liverpool over the forthcoming weeks.
Our special London launch event, which takes place on Wednesday 28 March, will give all those involved in 16+ education a chance to find out more about the aims, structure and content of the new qualifications from OCR Chief Executive Mark Dawe and from the team of people behind the development.
Professor Joy Carter, Vice Chancellor of the University of Winchester and Chair of the University Vocational Awards Council (UVAC) is the keynote speaker next Wednesday. To add to the Cambridge flavour, a team from the Cambridge Union Society will be using their expertise alongside OCR staff to debate the value of vocational education. We hope all those attending will enjoy the arguments.
