OCR will this week share their expertise and knowledge at two of the biggest events in the maths calendar: the Association of Teachers of Maths (ATM) Easter Conference at Royal Victoria Sheffield and the Mathematical Association (MA) Annual Conference at Loughborough University.
These conferences come hot on the heels of OCR’s own ‘pop up’ maths event, where maths specialists as well as users of maths in computing, psychology, business, IT, science, geography and economics, came together to share their views on the content and assessment approaches to maths.
A key discussion centred around OCR’s work with MEI in the development of a Level 3 qualification in Quantitative Methods. Aimed at post-16 students, it will provide learners who may not wish to embark on an A Level with transferable mathematical and statistical skills that can be applied to, and support, other subjects.

On Thursday 4 April OCR will also be the proud sponsor of the ATM drinks reception and MA’s President’s wine reception and annual dinner.
