The Education Committee's report on ‘The administration of examinations for 15-19 year olds in England’ is published today.
Following a comprehensive inquiry which included contributions from Mark Dawe, OCR Chief Executive, and Tim Oates, Cambridge Assessment Director of Research and Development, both referenced in the final report, the main recommendations include:

Welcoming the Education Committee’s report, Mark Dawe, OCR Chief Executive, said: "The model presents us with significant challenges but we’re confident that OCR's and Cambridge Assessment's collective expertise and research will enable us to work successfully within the new system, and continue to innovate and improve the quality of assessment.
"The report also highlights the need to place significant safeguards against related exam board activities, such as the publication of textbooks. We back this approach although understand the need to ensure that schools and colleges still get the support they need to provide students with the best opportunities to learn and succeed."
