Building on the success of its Level 4 Professional Services Apprenticeships launched last year, OCR is expanding its ambitious programme of Higher Apprenticeships.
In National Apprenticeship Week, OCR is unveiling two new Higher Apprenticeship qualifications:
The addition of these two new knowledge qualifications means that customers can now take all the qualifications for the Business and Professional Administration Higher Apprenticeship and for the Management Higher Apprenticeship with OCR.
Higher Apprenticeships offer young people a flexible career alternative to a three year degree course, by allowing them to carry on earning a living while achieving industry-relevant qualifications at levels equivalent to undergraduate study.
OCR was one of the first awarding bodies to offer Higher Apprenticeship qualifications in Professional Services, a sector identified by the government as critical to economic success. Later this year, OCR will also be rolling out new Level 7 Apprenticeship qualifications in Professional Services, building on the demand for alternative routes for those interested in careers in accountancy, audit and tax.
The Apprenticeship programmes offered by OCR focus on Business and Administration, Customer Service, Health and Social Care, IT, Management and Professional Services, de-bunking the myth that Apprenticeships apply to manual skills only. We also help companies such as IBM, the BBC and Channel 4 to create bespoke Apprenticeship schemes.
