OCR has joined forces with Adobe to incorporate units on Adobe's popular Dreamweaver, Flash and Photoshop solutions, as part of the new Creative iMedia qualification. Students' skills in Adobe can now help them achieve a nationally-recognised IT qualification through OCR.
The initiative was announced today at an event at London's Tate Modern.
John Deacon, OCR Business Manager, said: "For several years, Adobe has greatly influenced the international media market through its industry-recognised creative media software. Our customers asked if there was some way we could recognise the Adobe Certified Associate as a qualification, so we knew there was real demand out there."
"We approached Adobe with the concept of mapping the three popular tested solutions of Flash, Dreamweaver and Photoshop to OCR's new Creative iMedia qualification and we have been delighted to be able to work with them and Prodigy Learning to offer specialist units within an innovative new qualification, giving students something to show for their creativity."
