A new OCR video highlighting the changes made to the OCR Nationals ICT Level 2 qualification for the 2010/11 academic year is available to view on the OCR website.
The video - ICT Level 2 Changes - is presented by OCR's ICT Nationals Qualifications team and summarises the changes that have been made to ICT level 2 units and provides information about the support available for helping centres in the implementation of the new qualifications.
Simon Banks, Qualifications Group Manager for ICT and Technology at OCR, said: "As the Level 2 ICT Nationals are the fourth most popular qualification in the UK, it is vital that changes are communicated clearly to centres. Significant changes are being implemented to this suite from 1 August 2010. This video is delivered by key members of the development team. It gives centres and curriculum planners information they will need for implementation of the revised qualification suite through to 31 December 2014. This video summarises the changes, and gives information about how these changes will practically impact on centres."
"The changes will impact on examinations officers, with changes to the scheme codes and changes to the numbers of units within the qualifications. The changes will also impact on centre assessors, with changes to the assessment criteria. This video also gives information about the kinds of support that are available, in particular the busy e-community.' The latest OCR Nationals updates are available at www.ocrnationals.com.
