Over four days at the Olympia in London last month, OCR joined some 700 educational suppliers from the global teaching and learning community to welcome 30,000 visitors to the twenty sixth BETT conference and exhibition - the world's largest education technology event. The centrepiece of OCR activity this year was the OCR Nationals qualifications in ICT, which is the fourth most popular qualification in the UK.
As part of OCR's range of activities at BETT, a live radio broadcast by acclaimed ICT author, inventor and broadcaster, Russell Prue, featured interviews with Nigel Lofthouse, ICT Curriculum Manager and Greg Watson, OCR Chief Executive, to discuss OCR Nationals and GCSE ICT qualifications. Both interviews can be heard on the Anderton Tiger podcast.
Additionally, many fact and fun filled activities took place on the OCR stand throughout the event including a chance for centres to win a unique prize - A visit by Russell Prue to run a live radio workshop onsite. The prize was won by West Buckland School in Devon.
Further information is available at the OCR Nationals website, and for more information on GCSE 2010 ICT please view the GCSE 2010 qualification page.
