Diplomas

Diplomas are a type of qualification introduced to recognise the achievements of learners between the ages of 14 and 19. They offer young people an exciting new opportunity to demonstrate and apply their knowledge, skills and understanding in a practical context.

Diplomas are made up of a number of components and types of learning. View information on the three types of learning (generic, principal and additional/specialist) and Diploma structure.

Languages Diploma online questionnaire

The languages Diploma online questionnaire has been launched. This offers you the opportunity to comment on the proposed vision, aims and content (draft Themes and Topics for the Principal Learning element) for this new qualification. To participate in the online questionnaire (closing date Friday 17th October 2008), please visit the Diploma in Languages website.

Information on administering the Diploma and each of the main Diploma components, including a calendar of key dates is available in the Administration section.

In addition to the Principal Learning qualifications, OCR is also accredited for Functional Skills and Projects, and acts as a Diploma Awarding Body for all lines of learning – which means we meet the requirements for awarding the full Diploma qualification.
