Overview

Available at levels 1, 2 and 3 the Principal Learning gives a broad induction to all areas of society, health and development including children and young people's workforce, health, community justice and adult social care. Themes of sensitivity, confidentiality, communication skills and care for vulnerable people run through all units, emphasising the development of transferable skills

  • Delivery combines classroom study with learning by doing in a practical work related environment.
  • Learners focus on subjects and skills relating to work in the society, health and development sectors
  • Encourage learners to develop a broad understanding and knowledge about the Society, Health and Development sectors and to develop skills and attributes related to the sector.
  • Encourage learners to develop a specialist knowledge
  • Encourage structure in planning, implementation and evaluating.
