Overview

This course is designed to provide a coherent, workable and viable course of study for those students who show an aptitude and enthusiasm for physical education but for whom GCSE Physical Education would be inappropriate.

Students are expected to spend their time learning, applying and practicing the skills and techniques of their four chosen practical activities. Throughout the course, students analyse performance in order to determine its strengths and weaknesses and to suggest simple ways of improving performance.

Students may progress on to GCSE Physical Education or a similar vocational course.
