This course emphasises on Philosophy and Ethics provides the opportunity for students to follow a coherent course, balanced in terms of breadth and depth, and supports the study of Christianity and/or one or two other principal religions.
This course caters for those lower attaining students who may have difficulty in reaching Level 3 (or the equivalent) of the National Curriculum at the end of Key Stage 3 and for whom the equivalent GCSE Full and Short Courses are not appropriate.
The course complements other courses in Personal, Social and Health Education and/or Citizenship.
Students may progress either directly to employment or to Foundation Level courses within the National Framework for Qualifications.
