GCSE in Applied Business (Double Award) is one of a number of GCSEs in vocational subjects designed to offer students the opportunity to widen their participation in vocationally related learning. It provides students with the techical knowledge, skills and understanding needed in the workplace or in further education or training. This is an ideal course for those students who want a broad background in business, covering Investigating Business, People and Business and Business Finance.
The course is accredited at Levels 1 and 2 (Foundation and Intermediate) of the National Qualifications Framework and provides students with a progression route to Foundation and Intermediate GNVQs, NVQs at Levels 1 2 and 3, VCE and GCE. Certification at Level 1 will be awarded to students who gain grades GG to DD and certification at Level 2 will be awarded to students who gain grades CC to A*A*.
