Overview

Please note that the specification and specimen assessment materials are applicable to both the Short Course and Full Course.

Please note that the specification and specimen assessment materials are applicable to both the Short Course and Full Course.

If you are already teaching Religious Studies A you can compare current and revised specifications on the What are the changes? page.

Built on the already popular World Religion specification, this specification provides students with a comprehensive faith-based approach to Religious Studies focusing on topics such as beliefs and practices and religious texts.

Our new specification covers six religions and has been broadened out to give the option to focus on one of three major world religions (Christianity, Islam and Judaism) throughout or to study a combination of different religions including Buddhism, Sikhism and Hinduism. Both the short course and the full course offer excellent progression from earlier key stage learning and the short course in particular provides an excellent outcome.
