Unit A811: Listening

Candidates will:

  • Listen for, identify and note main points and extract some details from spoken Gujarati of increasing length, speed and complexity
  • Demonstrate their understanding of Gujarati with a variety of non-verbal responses and some short answers in English.

Unit A812: Speaking

Using Gujarati, candidates will:

  • Communicate appropriate information within given role-play situations
  • Take part in and develop conversations, expressing and justifying opinions where appropriate.

Unit A813: Reading

Candidates will:

  • Read, identify and note main points and extract some details from written texts in Gujarati of increasing length, speed and complexity
  • Demonstrate their understanding of Gujarati with a variety of non-verbal responses and some short answers in English.

Using Gujarati, candidates will:

  • Demonstrate their ability to communicate in writing on different topics
  • Express and justify points of view where appropriate
