This course is designed to combine the necessary breadth and depth of study whilst allowing students the freedom of choice. It accommodates a wide range of abilities and material resources.
The course builds on the knowledge, skills and understanding established by the National Curriculum Orders for Art and Design. Students may enter either a broad-based course or specialist focused course. The broad-based course requires students to submit work from two or more areas of study, chosen from:
The specialist, focused qualification requires students to submit work from a single area of study only. Students who are awarded grade C or above, may study for an Advanced level qualification.
