OCR's outgoing GCSE Mathematics specifications follow the two-tier assessment model without coursework stipulated by the Qualifications and Curriculum Development Agency (QCDA) which began teaching in September 2007.
New GCSE Maths specifications have been introduced for first teaching from September 2010. They take into account the changes to the Key Stage 4 Programme of Study and the new Assessment Objectives that place a renewed emphasis on problem solving and functional mathematics.
