This qualification is approved for use by 16-19 learners and adults. The qualification develops candidates' ability to apply numeracy skills in a range of familiar contexts and situations. Success in national adult numeracy tests acts as a proxy for the associated Key Skills tests in Application of Number. This makes key skills an obvious progression route for Adult Numeracy candidates as they will only be required to do the portfolio component.
