BIS announcement
In response to the BIS announcement on the 15 February 2012 regarding operational end dates for Key and Basic Skills, OCR is currently planning its provision to continue to meet the needs of centres and learners. We will notify all centres about any changes to our qualifications as soon as possible.
Important notice to centres
The accreditation end date for this qualification has been extended to 31 August 2012 with a certification end date of 31 August 2014.
OCR offers two alternative qualifications for you to consider for your learners:
- OCR Functional Skills qualification in ICT at Entry Level, Level 1, Level 2
- QCF Entry Level Award in Using ICT at Entry Level

The OCR Entry Level Skills for Life qualification is accredited on the National Qualifications Framework (NQF) at Entry 1, 2 and 3. The qualification has been designed to assess the practical use of ICT. This includes the use of email, text messaging, search facilities and the presentation of information. The qualification is unit based to enable candidates to achieve individual units that are stepping stones towards the full qualification.
