This course enables students to develop an understanding of the development of children up to their sixth birthday. It is intended to cater for those lower attaining students who may have difficulty in reaching Level 3 (or the equivalent) of the National Curriculum at the end of Key Stage 3 and for whom GCSE or the equivalent vocational qualification are not appropriate.
