This course is designed to meet the needs of lower attaining students who may have difficulty achieving a grade at GCSE. There are three pass grades which are broadly equivalent to the requirements for National Curriculum Levels 1, 2 and 3. However, students who enter for this qualification may also enter for the GCSE History full or short course. The assessment is based entirely on coursework. There is no written examination.
